Abstract

The present correspondence deals with radio wave propagation for urban scenarios on the cell broadband engine.
Binary space partitioning trees are used to split the building data into manageable size for the parallel units of the cell. By choosing the size of the tree leafs both data transfer between units and runtime of the algorithm is significantly improved.
The implementation of these techniques allowing for reflection demonstrates promising results for speeding up radio wave propagation.
