Abstract

This paper studies the analytical bit error probability of Discrete Wavelet Transform and Fast Fourier Transform based Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Closed form expressions of the bit error probabilities for both two methods are derived and validated. In the simulation, two channels with different impulse response are adopted. The results show that the Discrete Wavelet Transform based OFDM performs better than the classic OFDM in both channels.
