Interference Alignment and the Degree of freedom of 2 x 2 user X-network

Abstract:

A 2 x 2 user X network consists of two transmitters and two receivers; with each transmitter has an independent message for each receiver. The total degree of freedom of this network is 4/3. The key to this result is the Interference Alignment scheme, which refers to the careful design of the signals, so that the desired signals are separable at their respective receivers while interference signals are aligned. In this talk, we will explore different schemes/models that achieve this result.
