Resource Allocation in LTE-Based Wireless Networks

Abstract:

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is one of the prime transmission technologies of wireless broadband networks. For resource allocation in OFDMA based networks, interference mitigation is one of the major challenges to mitigate inter cell interference in cellular networks. A method of dynamic fractional frequency reuse is proposed, where channel qualities and transmission requirements are considered. Moreover, we solve a resource allocatio problem, which aims at maximizing the sum rate of non-real time transmission while satisfying the data rate requirement of both real time and non-real time transmissions. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly improve system performance.
