A generalization of partial spreads class of bent functions

Abstract:

Classification and construction of bent functions is a very important open problem. Dobbbertin and Leander have embedded the problem of construction of bent functions in a recursive framework by using generalization of bent functions which is said to be Z-bent functions. Thus construction of particular classes of Z-bent functions are of interest. Here we generalize the construction of partial spreads type bent functions to partial spreads type Z-bent functions of level r for any r>=1. Further we demonstrate that all the bent functions on 6 variables can be obtained by "gluing" partial spreads type Z-bent functions of level 1 on 4 variables.
